Ok guys I really need help here. My original .avi file was MPEG-2 576x256 23.976fps CQ 50, Layer-2 48000Hz 128kbps. I got errors when I tried converting it with TMPGEnc, so I just loaded the .avi into Ulead DVD Workshop and let it do the converting. I know this has something to do with that "NTSC Film" conversion thing in TMPGEnc's coverseion wizard. Is the reason for the stretching that the original DVD had the two black borders on the top and bottom of the screen? And if that's the case, how do I get DVD Workshop (or Nero) to write the DVD and keep those settings in tact?

It kept saying streaming error. The final product after being converted was in fast forward at some parts, froze at others, and had no sound. Help!

Your original file indicates it has already been encoded to MPG-2 and is NOT an avi file. Does the error say "Encoding stream type" or something like that?
"NTSC Film" is 23.976 speed, that setting is correct. What is wrong with the original file that you need to re-encode? -
Nelson, yeah it does. The thing is though, it's an avi file in DivX 5.01 format. My problem is mainly how do I burn that avi to DVD (and SVCD for that matter) and retain that letterbox effect? I dont want it full screen because the picture looks all stretched out vertically.
