    alot of the divx avis I have are playing with vertically stretched images...it looks like they've been put thorugh a taffy machine. They play fine in VLC. I do use divx for decoding divx vids. What setting do I need to change in MPC to get them to fit the screen right?

    What Video Frame settings are you using in MPC? Under View->Video Frame? Be sure to set Keep Aspect Ratio and set the Override Aspect Ratio to Default.

  3. also in video settings: touch window from inside

    this setting seems to work best for greatest variety of videos (for me at least)
