  1. I have the AIW Radeon 32 DDR. 3 operating systems (98, 2000 pro, xp pro). In Win2000 (preferred OS) resuming from suspend results in a garbled screen which is only corrected by moving the mouse. Since I record things throughout the day (while I am away) using the resume feature, they won't record because no mouse movement is created. This only happens in 2000, as XP and 98 resume fine. I have all the latest drivers for both the ATI and MB. Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. you could time one of those mouse-moving programs to run right before the capture. people used to have them to make money of those "get paid while you're browsing" websites. i never used them, so i can't give you names, but it's at least an idea.

  3. Thank you Patrickm for your response. That is a good idea, and one which I will take into consideration. At this point, PowerVCR II seems to still come up and bring the system up with it when I use it for timer recordings.

In the meantime, I am quite sure that this issue is related to the motherboard not providing power to the AGP slot in time for the system to start properly. I have downloaded the latest service pack (which includes a patch for VIA boards / AGP issue). After that is installed, I will determine if I will ever again get a VIA based board.

Although I would really prefer to use the MMC software, I will continue to use PowerVCR for the time being. It has it's own set of problems though... such as when you set the audio bitrate to anything below 192, sound is terrible in quality. The picture is also pretty poor at 1345 bitrate (to get at least an hour per CD). I wish they would update their software!

    Thanks again!
