Playing Xvid files: Problems with certain files.

I was wondering if anyone have any idea how to play xvid encoded .avi files. There seems to be a problem when I try to play certain files. I have the latest Xvid codec and Divx 5.02 installed already. My problem is with a particular file, since I have some other xvid encoded files that play fine. I know this is vague, but I have been told by three others that have this same file and it played fine for them, so the file is fine. Are there additional codecs or a special player I need to play certain xvid files? Any help is appreciated.

Playback of Xvid should be no different to other codec's, however a lot of people have had problems with this codec. Xvid (DivX backwards) has stopped working on this codec at the moment.

The Nimo codec pack has the codec included, you may fine installing Nimo may help.
