Hello to all,
I have a problem.
My Config is PII450, 256 MB Ram, 40GB HD IBM(IDE), ASUSP3BF, MIRO PCTV(BT84.
I Capture my VHS in uncompressed YUY2. In 50% i have a good result
it makes 25 frames/second with sound in synchronity.
But on the other 50 % of my tapes it don't make 25frames but something between 10 and 20. Audio is in that case in sync.
It seems as if the Video-Signal is unstable in a way, but i cant see
it when in tv mode. Using MoreTV it shows up with jumping frames.
Is there a way to increase the quality of the Video output of the VHS
i tried a Macrovision-Remover inbetween making a stable framerate
but also increasing the brightness of the Video ways to high.
Could you please help me
Greetz

25 frames, their's your problem.
You gotta run at 30 or 29.97.
Also, does ur card come with any properitary codecs. My ATI has ATI VCR1 and ATI VCR2.
If you have any of these, it's much better to capture to these instead of uncompressed YUV12 -
Hey Greg12,
how are you able to edit your videos that you capture? I have a friend who has an ati card, and when captures it captures using the properitary codecs, but the thing is, he can't edit it in premiere cuz it doesn't recongize the codecs..........any suggestions? -
Have you tried a Time base corrector?
You said you used a Macrovision remover, what macrovision remover did you use?
