I've been encoding Movies from AVI Divix Format 99% work fine
and conform to the internal bitrate calculator in tmpeg . but some
Show huge file sizes like 2 gb with the apropriate bitrate for that length of movie. and when I encode them they are infact huge and they have no sound. My only solution thus far is to encode them and leave off the credits this brings the file size back down to fit on one cd. then I have to rip the audio with virtual dub and encode it to mpeg thet slap them both back together in tmpge any one have any ideas on what I can do to shortin this proccess?

Try scanning them in Vdub first for junk frames. Save out another copy using video/audio > direct stream copy. You can do the save even if it finds no junk frames, and can make a difference in TMPGEnc
However, most full length movies wont fit on 1 CDR/VCD anyway, unless you sacrifice the quality. Most are 1.2 + Gb after conversion -
yeah i'm using XVCD format and like I say It works fine for most of my movies even ones longer than these. I think Vdub sounds like a good Idea is there a tutorial on hot to scan it for junk frames?
