Hi All,
New to the site and am looking for a little help...
Just bought my first DVD-R (Pioneer A104) and am looking at putting all those little VHS gems onto DVD. Have been fine at creating VCD's using Clad DVD. FlaskMPEG and Virtual Dub etc, but am totally new at DVD creation...
If anybody can help answer a few of the following I'd be most grateful
1. Chapters - If I cature say a 1 hour documentary from VHS, do I actually need to split the AVI into chapters or is there software that when creating menus will simply put selectable marks as to where the next scene will start?
2. For VCD's I used TMPGEnc to encode and then Nero to burn to CD. Whilst TMPGEnc will also do DVD, it doesn't handle menus / chapters etc. so what is the proceedure to get a finished DVD-R? TMPGEnc - Menu Software - Nero?
3. Could someone recommend a full software package that will allow me to capture video, add menus etc and finally burn onto DVD-R all in one package?
Many Thanks
Russ

I use Ulead Movie Factory. It's quite complete, does everything you're asking in one package, and is very easy to use.
