  3. Taking a MPEG and burning a VCD easy, but I am sure what you did was captured your source onto the computer 1st as an AVI, used TMPGE to encode to an MPEG then burned that over to a VCD, now when you play that VCD on a 36 in tv it looks perfect, no blocks, no lag and its in dolby surround also......correct. Now lets use Ulead Media Pro Studio 6.0 and put effect into it like reverse, slow it down and morph the image and add your own Digital stereo music with it.

  7. actually I'm not suprised by the original post. go back 2 years on this wonderful site and remember all of the problems associated with a simple vcd creation and then fast forward to present times and you'll understand how easy it has become.

i started saying 18 months ago that this process will appeal to the masses. struggled through the opiners that professed that a stand alone vcd player was the only way to go and then argued that it will someday be almost too easy (not even going to mention the standards pundits here). and that was before svcd which has also become a no brainer. not to mention (although in many cases still a struggle) dvd-r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw, etc, etc.

a 12 year old professing an expertise in vcd is pretty much according to plan - at least how I saw it WAY back then (18 months- ouch). i feel OLD already.
