It seems to take a very long time to download any file over 700MB. I have tried downloading other movies of a smaller size, and although the download is faster, the quality is terrible. What is the secret to getting good movies without spending 2 or 3 days to download?

I'm on a cable modem and I have the same problem
Music files download at 25, 50, 100kps, Games and progs download at 10-50 kps.
But big videos download at .23kps. -
this is what ive found... you have a set maximum kb you can download at, the more connections you try to download to, the less your speeds will be for each of those downloads, but you generally will still reach near your maximum download speed. So if your max speed is say 100kb, then if you had 10 movies downloading at once, then added up those speeds would only reach 100kb at best, but usually less.
and of course other concurrent downloading programs will effect your download speeds, ie. imesh, or mirc, etc.
what i found that helps eliminate the pain, is to select 2-3 of the fastest downloading movies in my que, then pause all the rest. When I have all 20 movies downloading, my fast movie is only like 20kb, but eliminate competition and it flies up. at least this way i can get decent speeds and a finished download in just a couple hrs.
im on cable and can get 175+ which makes me
as far as why youre only seeing .04kb downloads is because the person with that movie is being a bit greedy with the bandwidth! -
I see what you mean. I have paused some of my downloads and the remaining ones have a pretty decent download speed-42.79, 30.06, 21.91, 12.80. I should have some flicks ready to burn today. Thanks! :P
