  1. Ok, here is the deal.

I hooked everything up, and it transfers my desktop to the TV perfect. I can navigate and everything using the TV as a monitor.

The problem comes when I try to transfer a DVD or anthing with Video in it. For example, I used WinDVD and PowerDVD to attemp to play a dvd on the TV - no luck. The box that windvd or powerdvd pops up in transfers to the TV, but when the DVD begins to play on the laptop, the box is just blank on my TV. I do get sound though.

I figured that it was just some type of copy protection, so I tried a DVD-r. Same result. Then I tried a VCD. Same Result. Then I opened up Windows Media Player and tried to play the VCD in it and it did the same thing.

Is there a setting I need to switch on my PC? I'm not real sure why it won't transfer over - isn't that why Laptops com with Video out's, so you can use your DVD rom on your TV.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    UT

  3. I have a HP Pavilion Laptop. Running Windows XP. I believe I have that exact same video card also.

Where did you go to add both monitors. I right clicked and went to properties, then went to settings, then advanced and got a display menu. It shows a monitor, panel, and TV. Is that what your talking about?

What do I do when I go in there, assuming it's the right place to be. It shows that the TV is hooked up, but I still see no video on the TV?

Let me know how you did it, detailed steps if you don't mind - this thing is warping my mind

Thanks for your help, and if you don't mind me asking, what type of PC do you have?
