hey guys wasn't there 2 models? The CD flashable and the one that wasn't? The difference was/is the drive inside plus who knows what else... might this be the reason why?
Also for DVD-R compatability could the no macro no RCE hack affect it? AKA make stuff no longer work that might have before?
I'm willing to test the DVD-R stuff on mine but haven't been able to get the hack to remove itself with the directions I've found....oh well.

and since you can't buy the 1500 anymore he's kinda stuck looking for a good replacement.

Compusa has the 1500 for 79.95 with a 20.00 rebate. Walmart has them for 69.95. You can order from walmart.com
