  1. Hi,
I bought a Panasonic RV32 which could play all my SVCD's (CDRWIN and Nero's) but it could not keep up with them - it skipped frames and had problems with the sound.

I went back to the store and bought an Apex AD5131 02 (3 cd changer). It plays my nero burnt SVCD's fine but it does not play my SVCD's burnt with CDRWIN (almost all my collection).

I would like to know which DVD players play *CDRWIN* burnt SVCD's. I am not planning to re-encode all my SVCD's.

    I would appreciate any help.

  3. Well when I shop for a DVD Player I take 2 or 3 of my SVCD's with me, you might try these models out

    Sampo 631CF
    Daewoo 5800

These have played anything I have thrown at them.

  4. thxkid,

I don't think any store near me (Walmart, Kmart, Circuit City, Best Buy) carry those Sampo/Daewo DVD players.

You are the 2nd person that tells me the Sampo should be able to read them.

  5. By the way, most stores have the DVD players and the TVs separated. It might a little bit of a hassle to try to carry out such test

  6. If you are going to pay a significant amount of money on a piece of hardware, then I suggest that you find a shop where you can test out the players before hand.

It would be much more of a hassle buying something that doesn't work for your discs and then having to return it.

    Regards.
