Why are people so reluctant to put what they want to know about into a search engine? Google: first entry finds http://www.xvid.org/ which tells you all about XviD.

This site is primarily about creating VCD, SVCD, DVD and related formats. The main interest in XviD or DivX is in order to convert from them, rather than to them. If you want to know all about XviD you are much more likely to find useful information in the forums at www.doom9.org than you are here. 8)
