  1. hi all. ok after i encode with tmpg everything is fine. but if i use tmpg to split file and then try to burn with nero i get nero telling me that it is not vcd and it will encode prior to burning.
but if i use dvtool to split file i dont get the messege when making a vcd. it burns with no prob. i really like tmpg and would like to get past this issue.

    thanks.

Almost certainly when you cut you did not alter the type to VCD or SVCD. Nero never complains if you cut properly! 8)

  4. I use Nero for standard and non-standard VCDs and have found when burning a non-standard VCD Nero complains if the compliancy is enabled. But you can tell it to turn off compliance and burn anyway. I noticed with the MPEG tools in TMPGEnc there is an VCD (Automatic), VCD (non-standard), and VCD (standard). I don't use the default (Auto) because of the problem you are having. Maybe the (auto) setting doesn't work. If I tell the cut tool I'm working with a standard VCD MPEG Nero has no problems with it. But the tool will have problems if you tell it Standard and your MPEG is not standard.
