Hello to everybody and to Baldrick congratulations for this great site.

I have tried the Video cd 2 Toolkit for four days now and I have not been able to see the VCD which contents a Power point presentation, 3 min test mpg file and a menu. Have tried two different dvd players (philips 701 and 720)but the units tried to read the cds but after 5 secs the tray open again without playing anything.

I followed all the recomendations on VCDhelp.com -step by step- (single track. multiples tracks with splitter.exe. etc). I used Winocd power edition to burn the cd but nothing works. Can anybody give me the hints and tips to finally make this work on my philips dvd players?

Best regards from Colombia South america

    Tico

  2. Not all DVD players can read CD-R or CD-RW disks. Have you checked your model DVD player against the compatibility list on the left?

Are you burning in Disc-At-Once mode? If so, try burning in Track-At-Once, it makes a big diference when using VideoCD 2.0 Toolkit.

Finally I gat help from mvalemnte and alex. Gear is the way to go, my vcd with Power point presentation a movie and some still pictures played flawlessly on my Philips DVD player. You can notice some blinking lines on the ppt presentation but i think it has to do with the width line i choose for the ppt slide, it happens only in two of the slides but it is working, I wasted my time (and 5 cds) using winocd. So stuck with Gear, it works just fine.

I have one question .Is it possible to run the slide show with music on the background (vcd2toolkit)

Thanks again to the people at the forum. Keep the hard work guys!
