What to I have to do to use my capture files on a DVD?

Hi

I have a Haupauge PVR device and no problem capturing.

Can someone explain why I can't just take those captures and and burn on DVD-R with something like Roxio Videopack?

Also the orig captures are raw right? Not as VCD , SVCD etc I mean

I have tried the re-mux etc and have current SVCD files I done with Tmpgenc, which I wanted on DVD-R.

I have read all these guides on this site and I don't understand why I need to speed 4-12 hours messing about with too many tools?


Am I asking too much as waiting 4-6 hours on tmpgenc seems a waste.

Why capture to SVCD when making DVDR?

Capture to DVD and then you should be able to author it to DVDR with no remuxing with SpruceUp,Ulead Workshop/Moviefactory....it worked for me anyway. Be sure to check http://www.shspvr.com/ also.

I didn't think you can use the USB version with any capture software?

Am I wrogn on this and also I've had a quick look at the site you game me and where do I need to look?
