  1. ok guys im new here..

i have a problem.. whenever i burn vcds they always skip on my stand alone VCD player.. it works fine when i play it on my computer.. but then my burned VCDs skip.. i think it works fine with other VCDs.. it just skips with the ones i burn... at first i would let Nero re-encode my files to VCD format... but then it didnt work well.. so i decided to convert to VCD format with TMPGenc and then burn with Nero.. but i still have problems with it.. it skips at some parts.. its even more irritatin with my music vidoes.. they skip a lot.. im not sure if its my CDRs that are the problem.. cuz i just got new cheap ones.. when i used Maxell CDRs they rarely skipped.. so i dont think its my burner problem... i dont think its my stand alone VCD player either... its either the CDR or maybe i did somethin wrong when encodin.. but then ive tried different formats.. VCD, SVCD, XVCD... maybe its skippin because i have other programs on while i use TMPGenc to convert to VCD format?? i dont have other programs on when i burn them on CDs.. but i do leave programs on like Mirc when i let TMPGenc convert the avi or mpg to VCD..

plz can anyone tell me what im doin wrong or help me?
ive already wasted a lot of time and CDs experimentin and tryin differnet things...

  2. hi
I cannot give you the ultimate answer to your question.
But I know that the expensive dvd players from leading firms very often have problems with playing selfmade cds.
Its no problem with original dvds. Thats because they want to stop piracy.
These no name dvd players for 100 € are better for this.

    Hope I have helped you

  3. well thx for tryin.. but mine is a VCD player.. not a DVD player.. and its about 3 years old now.. but i never had problem playin VCDs i bought from stores.. so maybe its my media problem.. or the burnin process or maybe the encodin... but i burn at 2x with Nero.. the burnin shouldnt have any problems since i dont run any other programs durin burnin... ive seen this topic posted quite a few times yet no direct answers...

can anyone explain if demux and stuff would help it or not? cuz i have no idea what it is...
