    Hi All,

I just bought a Fiji Finepix S602 Digital Camera, which records movies in .avi format, at 640x480 at 30fps with sound. Copy the files onto my PC, great, I can watch them in windows medi player.

    However herin lies the problem.

I mostly film my new 14 week old daughter, and want to create SVCDs which I can send to friends and family so they can see how shes growing etc. I have tried opening these files in Adobe Premier 6 and TMPGenc and neither of them can open the file. Can anyone please offer me any advice as it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Glen

If you can load them into Virtual Dub, you can frameserve them into TMPGEnc.

    Hi,

Ive downloaded Virtualdub, and it plays fine in this program.

Im a newbie to this, so is there any chance of an explanation of what to do to get this into a decent format ready for SVCD?

    Thanks in advance

You're halfway home. Set up VDub to frameserve, Load TMPGEnc, select the Super VCD Template with the Load function, name your output file, and the resulting file of your little princess is ready for the SVCD burn. You only have thirty days to use this SVCD template because mpeg-2 is disabled after then. Here is the framserve guide:
