I WAS ENCODING MY AVI FILE TO MPEG-1 USING TMPGEnc AND UNDER THE ASPECT RATIO I SAID 1:1(VGA) AND I PLAYED IT ON MY TV(NTSC) USING A STANDALONE DVD PLAYER, SO AM I SUPPOSED TO CHANGE THE ASPECT RATIO TO 4:3(NTSC)...WILL THIS MAKE MY MOVIE MORE CLEAR, BECAUSE IT WASN'T VERY GOOD AT ALL, AND MY BITRATE WAS FAIRLY HIGH TOO! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

I don't know if this will clear up your movie but, yes change to 4:3 if your going to watch it on TV. An unlclear movie can have MANY different causes, it all depends on the original capture file. Personally I never touch the AVI format if i'm capturing, I do it using MPEG2 and convert from there.

the 1:1 VGA is if you're gonna play the video on the computer and 4:3 if you are gonna use your tv.
If the source is poor then the output on the tv will be poor
even if the bitrate is high.
