Hi, i need some help.
I want to capture in virtualdub using the VFW Huffyuv codec. I have already installed Huffyuv v2.1.1 and i'm using it with other capture tools but in virtual dub when i select Video->Compression, i don't see any of the VFW codecs.
Anybody knows whats going on?
My OS is Windows XP and my capture card is AVERTV.
Thank you

Seems like VDub has problems with vfw under XP. Make sure you selected a compatible color format like YUY2 or 24bit... hope it works!
Otherwise use WDM drivers. -
emale, how do you even get vitualdub to recognize your AverTV? It won't recognize mine and I heard they are compatible (at least yet).

Possibly the cap card is running WDM drivers? I didnt do the research
for you, but something to look for.
I dont think Huffyuv is limited to VFW, but it may be, I dont recall...
Been a long time since Ive fooled with analog equipment. 8)
