  1. I ripped a dvd and recorded it to dvdr I did as all the guides said and followed them exactly to make a copy with just the movie. The movie plays fine when opened with IFO edit and plays fine when opened in harddrive mode on power dvd but power dvd won't read the dvd that i made. Does this have something to do with the format that I used to record it? This newbie needs advice...Please.

    Thanx

  2. Make sure you press "Get VTS Sectors" in IFOEDIT before you burn the DVD. I did the exact same thing on my first copy It will play fine on your computer, but not on a stand-alone player.

  4. I did press get vts sectors. The exact error reads: error code: 89020003 The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation. It shows the title of the movie and the little powerdvd media picture opens over the drive letter when it loads I have no idea.
I just got my A04 drive and I'm experimenting.

    Thanks

Well, experiment with DVD-RW disks. That way, when you make a mistake, a simple "erasure" will start you back at the beginning (and no expensive coasters).

Most probably, you have some Joliet extension enabled when you are creating/burning your disk. For a set top player, this is a "no-no".
