I recently split a concert file that was about 20minutes long so that I could have the option of selecting tracks and in most of it the sound was out of sync with the lips when they were singing. Is there anyway to make sure that doesnt happen? I use TMPGENC to convert all my mpgs for vcd burning. This hasn't happened alot but sometimes it happens here and there and its really annoying. Anyways any suggestions?

sometimes audio is encoded in vbr(variabla bit rate) and if you split you will almost always get unsynced audio and video. you should always open the source in vdud first to check it. if it loads straight up then you'r probally ok. if it gives you and audio warning then just set direct strem copy in both the audio tab and the video tab. also make sure the avi audio is checked in the audio tab. then under the file tab, press "save as avi" and rename file. vdud corrected the audio when it opened the source and will save the file without vbr audio. hope this helps.
