I tried to cut a avi file with VDub but i am getting this message.
"VDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce upto 13421 ms of skew from the video steam. If this unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 113.3 +-8.6kbps)"
I let it rewrite with standard CBR values and encoded it to mpeg but there is no audio sync and the skew of several seconds between the audio and video is very annoying.
So how do I "decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 113.3 +-8.6kbps)" ?
Can someone explain how to do it in a simple way to a newbie ? (I have nero, vdub, tmpgenc)
thanks

Use Virtualdub to extract the audio using this :

then encode with TMPGE using WAV as Audio Source"Today is only yesterdays tomorrow"
