  1. d loaded a few movies in divx format i try to convert using tmp but it only converts the audio? the guides list a few fps s but media player says this is 14.97 fps and i cant find info on it any ideas or advice my system is listed in my specs thanx

    Can you see the picture during play ?

    Install the Nimo Codec pack, sounds like you have a codec missing. Also check to see if its DivX 5 www.divx.com

    Also check settings

    TMPGENc.
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

  3. i dont have that codec and it lists it as mpeg4 v3 or 3.3 i think , i show no picture as i normally do. media player says its 14.97 fps never heard of it? i just install the codec thats it?

    If you don't see it in Media Player, yes you have a codec missing.

  5. ok thanx for your help let me explain better. i have the files on a disk and i load them to my computer as mpeg 4 video mpeg 3 audio i can play it using premiere. media player. divx movie maker etc. but i try to convert it to vcd or dv avi for vcd or dvd burn it will not even show up in tmp , a screen that is. it will act normally show no errors or anything ill tell it to convert and it does but just the audio? no pic my movie maker will convert it to dv avi but the audio is a good 5 secs off im trying to encode now with premiere but avi has similar results??

    Did you do this ?, this will fix the blank no video problem. You do have VFAPI from the TMPGENc site ?
