Can somebody tell me if I can connect an Ultra-fast firewire Hard Disk (i.e. Maxtor 3000DV - 80 GB) for capturing video on my PC, through the firewire slot on the installed Pinnacle Studio Deleuxe card ??
Can I have a NTFS file system (for XP) on this drive ??

Even if you're pinnacle card has problems, you can buy a second firewire card like a "Pyro DV" for about $35 or so. The Maxtor's work great. I have two. The 160GB for storage, and the 80GB 7200rpm for working. If you're looking to capture direct to the drive, be sure to buy the 7200rpm.
