    Hi
I have followed the various guides but was just wondering.........
How good should my picture be???
    ECS K75SA Mobo
    Athlon XP 1700+
    Geforce2 Mx 400 64MB(no overlay support)
    512MB Sdram
    AverTV Studio Tv Card
    43GB Hard Drives Space

The picture is OK but has some fog on it. I have to turn saturation down low to get a clear picture. I have tried a booster this helped slightly. The capture side of things is ok. I am using PowerVCR as it is more versatile than my card software. When it captures the picture is often more smoother than the view I was getting on my screen. I then encode using TMPGEnc. Anyway going back to my actual question. HOW GOOD should my picture on screen be (I am viewing in 1024 x 768 )???

    Cheers

  2. In order to quantify picture quality, which established standard of measurement do you prefer to use?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

    Hi
I obviously sounded like I knew what I was talking about BUT I DON'T !! HeHe. I've had the card 3 days but have been playing with it 24/7.
I'm not sure what I should be comparing it too. For example the viewable image isn't as good as good quality DivX movie. probably not as good as video either. have u any tips for improving the signal into the card?? Should the view be as good as on a normal TV. Sorry if I'm rambling but it's hard to explain.

    Cheers

P.S. I have downloaded better mpegs which have obviously been made by other home users.
