  2. I don't think powervcr can capture avi. Have you tried using Virtual Dub? it's the best program for capturing avi, try the tools section to the left

    it tells me i have no capture card installed.

  4. Virtualdub cannot cap with WDM-Devices.

    Use iuvcr. It caps to avi.

    Freeware AMCAP and VirtualVCR both capture using "wdm" drivers to avi or windows media format. There's a modified version of amcap that lets you use any avi compatible compressor on your drive. The original version put out by Microsoft doesn't access the compressors.
