If I have a file that is in Divx (avi, correct me if im wrong about Divx being avi files) can I use Nero to convert the Divx files onto a SVCD or VCD to play on a DVD player?

Yes you can, just select VideoCD or SuperVCD compilation and drag the divx into nero and it will encode and burn BUT you may not get any audio or/and the video may look squeezed(wrong aspect ratio). I would rather use tmpgenc to convert to vcd/svcd and nero or vcdeasy to burn www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm

  3. you can, but NERO Decoder is know to be crabb. Better use TMPGenc (u will find a link and a good guide in the NEWBIE CONVERSION section).
