    I just tried to convert an avi file to a vcd compliant mpg with ffmpegx. The mpg came out fine, but when I tried to play it in Quicktime, I got no audio at all. Which audio codec do I use in ffmepgx to create a vcd mpeg from a DivX avi file?

    You should use .MP2 as audio.
    Also be sure to set GOP size=15 for MPEG1 encoding.
    If the problem persists, post your full console window output.
