i've recently downloaded a few films from kazaa, but after i've used TMPGEnc to encode them and burned them nero, the film seems to play in slight slow motion or it's sometimes very blocky on my standalone dvd player.
any help on this problem would be appreciated

have you still got the original movies you downloaded?
if the original movies are .avi format
check the spot where it goes slow motion
if there are too many keyframes
it happens that it'll do that in the conversion to mpeg
I've had a movie with that
and the playback in vcd sorta sticks frame per frame
