  2. I'm no expert here, However IMHO it won't look smooth.

When you see Slow Motion done professionally it is my understanding that they really speed up the frame rate when they shoot the video and then run that at real time so it is smooth.

For example on Mythbusters they use special High Speed cameras.

If you would like to play around I remember a function for this in Windows Movie maker you could try out.

Well my brother have a mobile phone that can tape at slow motion and that options is called 120FPS.

But their must be way to do it with out cause how can i join a 120fps scene with a 25FPS scene????

  4. When you join it to the 25FPS (PAL?) it runs the 120FPS at 25FPS too. That lets the 120FPS at slightly under 1/5 speed. The audio would also have to be replaced.

That Cell phone may be recording it at 120FPS and playing it at 30 FPS giving One Quarter speed.

If it's a AVI type file, you can do it easily enough with the freeware VirtualDub Mod.

Open the video, and cut out all but the part you want to change. Then under 'Video>Frame Rate', change the 'Source rate adjustment' to a lower number, say 5fps. Save the video with full processing, minus the audio. I would use a lossless codec or format such the default RGB video, as long as you have a short video. This will minimize quality loss. If you save the audio it will be out of sync anyway. You could probably slow down the audio with the freeware audio editor Audacity, then add it back after all your conversions are done if you want to keep it.

After you save out the video, open the new file, then under 'Video>Frame Rate' use 'Frame rate conversion' this time and 'Convert to fps' and put in the original framerate and make sure the framesize is the same. Save it this time in the original format to match the rest of the video. You could also add back the converted audio. Then you can add it back into the original video as the framerate will now match. Use new filenames each save so you don't damage the original until you have it the way you want it.

If you started with 25fps video, changed it to 5fps, then converted back to 25fps, should work fairly well. It would play at 5fps speed using a 25fps framerate. Or if you want smoother video: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic303037.html#1533729 But that method is a bit more complicated.

Normally you add the audio track after you create the slow motion video. If you scale the audio with the video. it will sound very strange and not be understandable - more like a space alien with a hormone imbalance.
