  1. I am trying to put some stat trek epsiods to svcd from dvd and I am have major problems with quaility. I have no problems ripping the files and using dvd2avi since TMPGenc can only do one vob file. but when I start to encode it it looks horrible. what are the best setting to use to get good quaitily. I same trying to put one epsiods per cd(40-45 mins)

    also

can some one explain what interlace means.

can svcd still have 5.1 sound?

    how long should encoding take?

Is there a better way to rip and encode?

    Thanks

  3. I check out all the templates but none of them were what I was looking for there was still a lot of wasted space of the cds. what I'm looking for is a vcd no longer then 50 minutes on a 80min cd with good audio and great picture. if some one could help me out or direct me to a place where I can find a template that close to what I need please help me

  4. try to put in CVD format
is the same as SVCD but w/frame 352x576(pal)
CBR 2520 (at least more than 2150)
    how ?
    load the SVCD template
    then load the unlock template
go to settings and make yours changes
    encode
for testing choose a part of movie action to see the diference
i just a newbie, but i can tell that CVD donīt have many blocks as SVCD
to burn use vcdeasy in svcd mode (or vcd-they all work on a MP-3000 JOCEL)

I'm encoding ST all the time. Rip the DVD as 'One large File".
Open Tmpeg,go to Mpeg tools. open simple remux and select the vob,Tmpeg will load the vob into the video and audio. Chose run and Tmpeg will create an MPG file which can be opened and encoded. I'm using the Standard SVCD template with the video at 2250 and audio at 128. Unlock is an extra option in templates. First select the template you want and the choose unlock and it unlocks the greyed out options in the template.
