Too many colors, too little lsd

Why is it that i have avi videos (mostly divx, maybe some angelpotion) that look fine when i play them in windows media player, but they get all screwed up in TMPGEnc.

The tint randomly goes purple, and it stays like that for about 10-100 frames, and goes back to normal.

Any way to prevent this?

If you have the angelpotion codec on your computer it's more than likely the cause of your problems. I really suggest deleting it.
