I just came across this card and have been reading some conflicting reviews on it. In one review, it says that this card can caputure video in DVD quality (no mention of specs) Mpeg2 ON THE FLY, while others say that this is not the case.
If in fact it does a descent job in capturing DV and analoge video and converting it to Mpeg 2 in real time, I think it's a big winner and makes my life a lot easier. This card can be purchased under $250. Other Mpeg 2 capture cards that can handle DV and analoge are above $1000.
All suggestions are welcome.

The AIW can capture at full D1 MPEG2 DVD-compliant with very good picture quality, but it requires a decent CPU (P4 or AthlonXP) for maximum quality.
It is still possible to capture MPEG2 DVD compliant on a P3-700, but you'll have to lower the motion estimation to 0% (still very good as long as you don't go under 6Mbps). -
Thanks guys for the input. I have a P4 with 512 RAM, and a hard drive with 7200 rpm. From what I gather this should do the job.
I still appreciate any other input anyone else might have.
Thanks,
