I have been experiencing a problem after using TMPGEnc (currently using version i). I can continue using it for converting from avi to mpg without any problems. However, after I use TMPGEnc and let my PC with WIN98SE stand idle for a while, it completely locks up. Keyboard and video will not work at all. The monitor will not come back on and none of the keyboard functions work (caps lock won't light, etc.) I have verified before I let the PC stand idle that nothing other than Explorer and Systray are running, but it still does it. I don't have this problem until after I use TMPGEnc. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. I am coming close to doing a full re-install AGAIN (With Microsoft, you have to do that every few months, sometimes weeks, if you want to have minimal problems). Thanks for any help!
