Well this is my second xvcd I am trying to make I made the first on with no problems...but now TMPGE keeps on giving me these errors like floating decimal point error.....and I forget the other... all I know is I went through all the steps in the faq for problems and nothing is seeming to help... I am stumped usualy I can figure stuff out on my own but right now im getting sick and tired of using this program...6th time I have tried to convert this movie...I already checked it for errors and stuff like that so I dont know what to do SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

It does sound like your original has errors still, TMPGEnc usually crashes on junk frames. It also hates some audio types, but usually lets you know that by producing no audio
How did you check the AVI for junk frames ?
Other things to consider...
Don't install the SMR (Angel potion) codec.
Convert the audio to a uncompressed WAV at 44.1Khz ready for use..
TMPGEnc.
Select options > environmental settings
click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectDraw" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
XVCD, did you change to a setting that causes the crash ? -
Well I found the errors in the file and I removed the bad frames (about 1 minutes worth of movie) and I downloaded the Tmpge plus software....coversion went really well 1 shot is all it took...thanx alot King John...at least you were gonna try to help me

Glad you got it to work, even though you had already said you had checked for bad frames
I sort of thought you might have missed them
