Hi!
Prolink is offering some products based on the CX23880/23881 chipset, e.g. the "XCapture" and "PlayTV":

This is the successor of the BT878 chipset. Among other new features it supports 10 bit A/D conversion opposed to the now common 8 bit.
Are there any experiences with these new capturing boards? Dow they work with VirtualDub? And where to buy if one lives in Germany?

The product certainly seems interesting but I cannot find any details on it other than the ProLink website. Apparently it hasn't hit the market yet?
So far I've tried....
ATI TV Wonder PCI. Great software, stable, but limited quality and record functionality. Doesn't work under XP for me.
AverMedia TV Studio. Terrible, terrible software, low volume sound, recorded video crashes my PC on playback (yikes!).
Let me know if you can get a hold of one of these, I'd be interested in trying it out. -
I contacted www.prolink-usa.com about the availability of these cards and here is their reply.
We are very sorry about that, the products is not ready for sales yet. The shipment will be coming around mid July. -
Here is a PDF that provide much more detail on this new Conexant chipset.
