Toubles when cutting with Tmpeg

I converted an avi-file (720 x 480) into a mpg-file (VCD pal) with Tmpeg. This worked ok except for a small reduction in screensize. When I try cutting a mpg-file in pieces the following happens. De screen reduces quite a bit in size and the subtitles disappear . Can anybody tell me how to prevent this from happening (especcially the subtitles)?

Are you talking about Merge/Cut that does not have any alterations in it that could chop out anything.

If your taking about encoding did you check to make sure you have not left something switch on from a previous encode Settings > Advanced

Did you encode it correctly before the cut Full Screen > keep aspect ratio
