  1. My first post here, and I need your help. I can rip SVCDs fine using a combo of DVD2AVI, TMPGenc, and VCDEasy thanks to the great tutorials here. What I want to know is how to make anamorphic SVCDs where the video source (from an anamorphic dvd) is encoded an the maximum veritcal resolution, but so that my DVD player knows to compress it back again. I've downloaded a couple of rips that have done this and tested them, so I know this can be done and my DVD player does support this.

    Well, you are a lucky one. But keep in mind, that only few dvd players support anamorphic XSVCD.
    Simply select Displayed Aspect Ratio 16:9 instead of 4:3.
