  1. Hi,
I converted a SVCD and when I played it in the dvd player, the SVCD plays like in slow motion. Why is that? what did I do wrong?

I used the virtualDub and TMGPEnc to encode and easy vcd to burn.

    Thanks!

Ive had this problem but it was only when I used to higher a bit rate, Im talking 5000 to 8000 bps as in DVD standards, try lowering your bitrates down, standard for svcd is 2520 I beleive most DVDs support this, most that is you may have one that dosent, experiment thats the only way to find out.
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.

  3. I did use 2520 bit rate. Could it be that my dvd player can not handle this bit rate?

Has any other people had this problem?

    thanks!

  4. Try 2496 bitrate - I have seen problems with anything over 2500 on my Sony NS315, but just under works great.

  5. What make and model DVD player are you using? Check that and see what the specs on your DVD player are in the DVD compatability list.
