    Hi i'm trying to join 4 .mpg2 files they are very large and i want to put them on a dvdr. When i try to join them i get an error saying the thrid file is not compatible. Is there a work round for this or am i screwed? Is it possible to merge the video and audio seperately and could this be what is wrong? I let tmpegenc correct the files and it took the bottom two away so i'm alittle confused. LOTR is the movie and was a dvd rip converted to svcd.

    Its telling you one of the files is not the same as the other two, it may be audio, it may be bitrate. So if you re--encode the one that's not correct, to match the other two you can then join all 3
