Hi,
Anybody fiqured out how to export the Twin Tower mov trailer into an avi?
It's one of those mov files that has a user interface that goes full screen once you click start and won't export to any format using quicktime.
I just want to crop out the mov interface once it's a avi file.
Thanks.

Easy. Download the ZIP file and then extract it. Hopefully you use TMPGEnc and you have the MOV reader installed. Load the extracted MOV file in TMPGEnc. Go to "Setting", "Advanced", and "Clip Frame". Now, use the "Top" and "Bottom" to cut off the parts on the top and bottom that aren't the trailer. If you are using 2.52 it will go grey. Check how it looks by then going to "Arrange Setting" and it will give you a preview of what the clip will look like with the top and bottom borders cut off. Run that clip to MPG and then go to VDub to make and AVI. You will want to cut out the very beginning because there is extra junk before the green screen.

Where can I get that .MOV Reader that you are talking about? I have TMPGEnc version #2.54.37.135. I an trying to convert the same trailer
I can watch it I just cant get anything to open it to convert it
Please Help -
Actually it is a Plug-In for TMPGEnc. Go to the left over there, scroll down to "Tools" and then scroll down to "Encoders". Just under TMPGEnc is the MOV plug-in and the MPEG2 plug in. Just download that file to the folder where the rest of your TMPGEnc stuff is such as the templates folder. Viola!
