  1. i got the 3 spiderman SVCd mpeg2 parts and i want to make them 1 file avi so they take up less room i've tried a bunch of things. I have a 2.11GB joined moive. i used joiner to join the parts. I can't skip to any part of the moive, but i think thats because the file is so big. SO i want to convert it to AVi. i have Vidomi and it says "encorder failed to inalize proeplery" and virtual dub says there a "pack synroniztion erorr" WHat do i do and if you could get me simple program that will work or help me fix them so they will convert of one of thoses programs that would be awsome!

    Have you tried TMPGEnc ?

File > Output to File > AVI
You can even select a codec to use

You may need a good mpeg2 codec, if it wont load. Install PowerDVD 4, then it provides the codec for use in TMPGEnc.

What program is saying that ? TMPGEnc ? if so do you have a prefer mpeg2 codec installed ? Like I suggested with PowerDVD

If your picture is squashed, then your not maintaining the aspect ratio, check your settings for full screen keep aspect ratio
