When I record from line in with my AVERTV Stereo, I get the light vertical white line in the middle of the screen. Can ne one help me to get rid of these? I read somewhere, another forum, that the problem is caused by a faulty soldering of the plug in section; but it was very vague.
Thanks for all your helps.

Just some ideas!
Line-IN? Thats for audio. Do you mean composite video in?
Try changing the video cable from your source ie...vcr. Do you have a properly shielded "video" cable. Audio cables look the same but are not designed to carry video. Do you have the same problem with the svideo or the tuner? If you have an fm radio make sure the antenna isn't touching your composite video cable. Make sure no other pci card is rubbing against the aver card.
Move the card to another pci slot away from the others if you can. I put mine at the bottom of my tower and have 2 spare slots to my video card.
Make sure you are not too close to sources of interference like a TV, cordless telephone, appliance (motor) or even the ballast of a florescent light.
Don't go looking for soldering issues first. Look for the more likely, interference and bad connectors!
