dvd-rw problem

I have a sony dvd-rw dru 120.For video editing i use dvd complete (dazzle).But when i try to burn a dvd+r or a dvd+rw ,it show me only the cd-rw,not the dvd-rw.I don`t no how to set this program(DVD Complete)to burn directly on to dvd-rw.
I try to burn with B`s Gold,but the dvd-player(aiwa dx-dv370) show me this mesage :Check disc.
Help please.

I'm not exactly sure if your Sony drive is DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW, but you cannot burn a DVD+R/RW in a DVD-R/RW writer (and vice versa). - and + can usually play in a DVD-writer of either kind (i.e. writes to only one kind, can read either).

I have a dvd=r/=rw and i use dvd=r and dvd=rw.The problem is my program don`t see my dvd-rw

if you have a Sony VAIO that includes a dvd-r/-rw it's a Pioneer 103 ( the 103 is the OEM version of the A03 and the VIAOs uses the rebadged Pioneers for DVD recording work until they start shipping them with a DVD+RW/+R. As for your program not seeing it ( the DVD part ) do you run XP ( as I suspect you do ) and do you have EZCD creator installed?Nero will see the DVD-R/-RW no problem as that's what I use with my A03, My DVD sees it as does DVD Movie Factory / DVd Workshop.

My computer is a Dell p3 800 MHz.
The dvd driver is a sony dru 120 +R/+RW.
I will try with Nero burning rom but it will be more easy for me with this program(DVD Complete) because here I can do everything from the biginning to the end(capture,encoding,triming,burning).
