    please help i am trying to create a vcd from my home movies.
    i have a sony digital cam and i am using pinnacle dv500 i have a yamaha s795 dvd player and i am using a yamaha burner. i have just about tried every program i can find i can burn the vcd with out any problems but it will not play in my dvd player, i have checked the player compatibility and it tells me i can play vcd,s on my unit plus i have played vcd,s that i have bought and they work fine. i'm just about ready to throw the dam thing out the window. i have read through the forums and checked the guides and i seem to be doing everything right but it still wont work.
    please help me someone anyone please

    Try a better quality CD-R

  3. Try cd-rw they seem to be more compatible. try this for me burn a music cd and see if your dvd player accepts it. some players simply don't accept cdr.

    thakx for your replies i just tried using a music cd that i had recorded a while ago and your right it wont read.
    does this mean its the dvd player or should i try using different media ?
    or would i be better off just buying a dvd burner, is that easier to record home movie's to and playing in a dvd or could i have the same prob ?

  5. you could have the same prob you can try different media. like i said cdrw's are often more compatible. dvdr might very well have the same prob. Try b4 you buy
