    All,

I've just installed DVD WORKSHOP and it seems that some options are greyed-out, I read somewhere on the forum that this is caused when you use the trial version. however i made use of the the full version and i have now a DVD WORKSHOP thats has optios like chapter and motion background greyed out. Is my serial number wrong or is it something else

    anyone?

  2. I had the trial version of DVD Movie Factory. When I bought the full program and installed it, it still said my 30-day trial had expired. So I uninstalled the trial version and reinistalled the full version. BINGO!

Motion menus will stay greyed out unless you are making a DVD. If you are trying to author a VCD it will not support motion menus.

Here are some very simple steps to follow that should get you started.

In edit mode add your video file and create 1 chapter (2 created).

Got to Menu and slect the Stardard Template and finish.

Drag and drop chapter 1 and 2 into the template.

On the left select the menu tab and then check the motion menu.

If you want a motion background drag and drop a video on the background.

Left click on either chapter and on the left under the button tab you can select motion button.

When you go to Finish you have to click on the play button and then the preview motion menu will 'ungray' so you can select it.

I think the other parameters should be self explanatory, if not ask away.

    I hope this helps.

Hmmmmm. When you are in the Edit mode, have a video in your first title, and you move off the first frame of the video, by using the jog bar or play, to the next chapter point you want to add... the "Insert Chapter: should no longer be grayed out.

Yes, you will not see the video and the chapters in the menu unless the video is in the title list. You can drag and drop your video on the title list and add the chapters or drag and drop your video on the edit screen, add your chapters. and then drag and drop your video on the title list. Eather way the video has to be in the title list in order to create a menu.

    yes!

i started to see the light, i've made a dvd with menu and chapters and every thing i wanted, but i've used a divx on my hdd and convert and athored it. i forgot that ulead has this out of sync problem after 45 min
ulead has made a patch i think for harware devices, but what must be done to make the convert to be not out of sync. i think it's the convert because i've used VIDEOWAVE to convert and dvd workshop to athor.
no problem, does anyone no something about the out of sync problem
    when converting
