  1. The cue file I downloaded was invalid. I've never created a cue file so I don't know how to get the correct info from the bin to do so. I have a problem with VCDEasy and TSCV in that they keep giving me blue screens and rebooting my system. (I'm going to reinstall my OS in a few weeks, but for now...). How do I either create a valid cue file so CDRWin can use it or burn the bin directly? I used VCDGear to make it into a dat file and burned that but it looked VERY washed out and not very good. Any help would be appreciated.

  3. if you managed to extract the content from the bi the cue wouldn't have made a diff if the video is washed out you downloaded a crappy release

  4. not neccesarily

if you use vcdgear to convert to dat you lose a ton of quality

    ive done that myself

if you can just extract the file without any conversion it should look better

  5. I didn't think so because the rest in the series (by the same person) look fine.

  6. How do I extract it without any conversion? It doesn't seem that WinRAR opens bin files. It says it's not a valid archive. If you've done this, please tell me how. Thanks.

  8. Just answered this one few days ago. The cue file is a simple text file that gives a file path. Open any cue in Notepad, edit the path. If you don't have one, download one or use VCDimager on any mpg and edit the resulting cue as above.

Yes, it CONVERTS the bin to a dat or mpeg and doesn't just extract the mpeg from it. I'll try isobuster and hopefully that won't convert it also.

I had programs like notepad and other cue specific editing software but they don't help me to know what exactly I should edit in it. (i.e. what values I put in.) I was looking at my other cues, but they had Flags at different times and I didn't know where these were for the bin I was using. I know HOW to edit it, I just don't know what the values should be for the different tracks (usually two of them).

just burn the bin as is.
load it in nero or mount it in daemon tools and do a direct copy.
u can see my site for more info.

  14. From looking at your website, it seems that both of those choices (Nero, Daemon Tools) need the cue file. They don't seem to give the option to load in just the bin. By the way, still not home yet so I haven't tried the previous suggestion.

hmm might not be clear in the guides, shall take a look at that, thanks. but in the main page for burning it should be. just load the bin instead of a cue in either of them.

  16. If you miss the cue then extract the Mpeg file from the .bin with isobuster and then burn the MPEG on a SVCD, for example with Nero.

  17. Well, just burning the bin with Nero didn't seem to work, I was using 5.5.8.2 also. So, I'll try isobuster.

  19. It seems you guys were right and it was an inferior rip. Everything I've tried has it coming out a bit washed out and slightly jumpy. Thanks for all the advice and choices though. I actually redownloaded it and figured out what was wrong with the cue and corrected it, but it still came out looking substandard. I have to just find a better quality rip.
