  1. i have just started to use virtualdub and ive done small videos just to look at but i want to do a whole film now but it says im limited to 1hour 10 minutes i have a 20gb harddrive now i see about compression but dont know where to adjust it or if this is my problem i just wanna back up my vhs tapes from what i can make out its using about 240mb per minute surely i can get a film captured smaller than this with ok quality

    use huffy codec or morgan multimedia mjpg codec shoul be available on this site,install and in the compression menu (compression compadability on virtual dub) select either codec should allow you several hours on a 20 gig harddrive depending on your resolution settings.if mjpg not on this site go to morgan multimedia's web site.
