  1. Okay, this is frustrating for me. I have a Pinnacle PCTV Studio Pro... Just moved over from using win98se to win2k. Mainly because of NTFS not having the file size limits. Anyways I am using the drivers from http://btwincap.sourceforge.net because the Pinnacle ones seem to do nothing but drop frames in win2k for me. So now whenever I capture I could tell the audio was mono by listening to it. I just installed the PowerVCR II demo and it detects the sound as mono so I am certain it is actually mono. My sound card is an Aureal Vortex2, I also have onboard sound but it didn't work for captures, had lots of noise. Anyways I am wondering if anyone knows if this is simply a limitation or if there is a solution? I am uncertain if the Pinnacle drivers were in stereo...

I had a Pinnacle PCTV Pro myself and used the original drivers. As far as I remember, you can capture only in mono. It's no stereo card.

  3. In win98se with the pinnacle drivers, I don't beleive it was mono.

  4. Anyone else?

I think I am just going to hook the audio source into the line-in and forget about putting it through the capture card.
